Privacy Policy — Time Tracker

The short version

Your data (clients, projects, services, time entries) lives on your device and in your own private iCloud. We can't read it. No account is required. There are no analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs, and we never sell or share your information.

Who we are

Time Tracker ("the app") is provided by Binary Software Solutions, Inc. ("we," "us," "our"). You can reach us at info@binarysoftwaresolutions.net.

Information the app accesses, and why

The app only accesses the following with your permission, and only to power features you use. This information is used on your device — it is not transmitted to us.

Location. Used to detect when you arrive at a client's job site (geofencing) and to record trip context for your time and mileage entries. Location powers these features on your device; it is not sent to us.
Contacts. When you choose to import a client, the app reads the specific contact you select (name, company, work address, phone, email) to create that client record. It does not upload your address book.
Calendar. The app can associate your tracked work with your calendar entries so your day lines up with what you billed.
Camera & microphone. The camera is used to scan receipts, and the microphone is used for optional voice dictation. Both run on your device.
iCloud (CloudKit). Your app data syncs through your personal iCloud account so it's available on your other devices. This is governed by Apple's iCloud terms and privacy policy; we cannot read your iCloud-stored data.

Data we collect

We do not collect personal information on our own servers. The app includes no analytics or advertising SDKs, and it functions without an account. In App Store terms, this corresponds to "Data Not Collected."

Data sharing

We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties. Data you export — such as CSV or PDF reports — leaves the app only when you choose to share it, to a destination you pick.

Retention & deletion

Your records remain until you delete them in the app, or until you remove the app and its iCloud data. You are in control of your data at all times.

Children

The app is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, the "last updated" date above will change accordingly.
